Google releases revised iPhone version of iGoogle

new iPhone iGoogle

I use iGoogle on every computer that I use on a regular basis. I get all my headlines, my mail, my calendar, all in one place and my internet experience is easily brought with me whatever computer I use. The iPhone is no exception. I daily open iGoogle on my iPhone and read a large list of all my iGoogle content. It’s great, or should I say, it WAS great. Continue Reading →

An Exciting Tech Week with Macworld and CES

It’s been an exciting week for tech news this week with both Macworld and CES taking place. Generally, I have to say that I was pretty disappointed with Apple’s surprises for the last Macworld keynote that they will ever present. Sure, the new Macbook Pro is cool, but I was hoping to see a new Mac Mini or an iMac refresh with some new graphics cards. I think the general consensus is that these will come sooner or later though, not like that crazy iPhone nano rumour.

CES has been a bit more exciting. Most notably, Palm released a new smartphone with a new OS (finally!). I’ve always hoped that Palm would turn out something great, and it really looks like they came up with something to get them back in the game. The OS is called WebOS, and the interface and general features all seem pretty cool. It might not kill the iPhone, but it will certainly stir more competition in the market.

I’ve been following CES news on a few gadget blogs for the past day and a bit, and Gizmodo has a nice day one Top 10 highlights list that you should check out.

100 Really Good Quality iPhone and iPod Touch Wallpapers

In my last post, I wrote about Poolgo, a great little site with really good iPhone wallpapers. These are quality wallpapers made by real designers. Well, today I happened upon a Smashing Magazine article with 100 really sweet iPhone wallpapers, which includes Poolgo in its list, but also includes way more other wallpapers. I just had to post and update with a link to this Smashing Magazine article, because it really goes way above and beyond what I wrote.

If you’re looking for some great iPhone or iPod Touch wallpapers, you need to read this article.

BodyGuardz protective skin for iPhone 3G

Today, I finally installed a BodyGuardz protective skin onto my iPhone 3G. After researching extensively about what type of protection would give me some much needed scratch protect, but also not ruin the profile of the phone, I found BodyGuardz skins. I bought one months ago, but was reluctant to put it on because of the many difficult stories I read about the hell that it is to actually apply it. Now that I finally gave it a try, what did I think?

Epson Artisan 800 wi-fi enabled printer

epson-artisan-800

I first heard about the Epson Artisan 800 from Kevin Rose’s blog in an article about the Top 10 Gadgets for Geeks. I needed a new printer ever since my 8 year old HP Deskjet 970Cse died. My first inclination was to go for a colour laser printer, but after searching around a lot, I went back to the Artisan 800 for all the features it has. I don’t usually get excited about printers, but this thing is actually pretty awesome, and it’s Mac compatible. Continue Reading →
